My niece recently gave me a book to read, declaring the main character reminded her of me.
The book: "Confessions of a Shopaholic"...
Now unlike Rebecca, I've never got myself into serious debt through shopping, nor have I compromised any close relationships or risen to fame. But I have shopped indiscriminately, without need and when I should be spending money on other things. I simply can't help it, I have to shop!
Living in the country does hamper retail therapy. There aren't too many stores that stock quality labels or unique designs. That is why I developed my love for internet shopping, and how I do love to shop online! You can browse and ponder until your hearts content, there's no need for rash purchases or pushy salespeople. I can shop for hours on end and not develop blisters or bunions on my feet.
My greatest love of shopping online - all the unique, handmade, superb quality clothes, decor and accessories you can buy, at a fraction of the cost you'd pay in store. My favourite online store is Etsy. I spend hours on end adding gorgeous items to my ever growing wishlist, and even more hours pondering what to buy next when everything is considered a need and not a want!
If you haven't already discovered the delights of Etsy, I suggest you pop on over. Here are a couple of my latest favourite finds:
Oh I love those little christmas slippers... too cute!
ReplyDeleteMathilda is gorgeous Chrissie...She looks so much like Oscar but such a little lady :) I bet you cant wait to spend Xmas with Kate and Amelie - what a wonderful time you will all have together.
Hope you dont mind if I follow along on your new blog? :)
Aren't they divine Jess! I've now bought 5 pairs of these little shoes for Mathilda, I just can't get enough of them *blush*.
ReplyDeleteSadly we won't be spending Christmas with Kate and Amelie this year. I'm going to miss sharing all the fun of pressie opening with my little girl, but hopefully next year we can visit Melbourne and spend Christmas in their new house.
So good to hear from you, and yes please follow along!
Hi Chrissy, I'm a huge Etsy fan too - so many lovely things to look at from the comfort of your home - so much easier than dragginga toddler around the shops. I do find I 'waste' a lot of time browsing on there though :) Thanks for stopping by my blog and I'm so glad to have discovered yours and to see you're also from WA xx
ReplyDeleteHee hee I just love this little blogging community :)
ReplyDeleteJess when Chrissy visits in Jan with Ossie and Tilly we'd love a visit to play with Izzy and your soon to arrive littlie :)
Oh absolutely, a little playdate is a must xx
ReplyDeleteI love Esty too Chrissy! I drool over the soaps, though and wish I could make some of the gorgeous ones that are there!
ReplyDeleteI've never bought clothes or anything there yet!
I do a hell of a lot of my shopping online.
Just ordered some Yahava coffee today!
Meg, I bought a gorgeous cowl next top and a linen skirt recently. They are both incredible quality and cost only $50 each. I'm heading back for more!
ReplyDeleteAmanda, shopping with a toddler and a three month old is impossible! And I know what you mean about 'wasting' time, I could sit and browse for hours on end. Thank you for stopping by, I love your blog too xx
ReplyDeleteAnother who shares your affliction (to Etsy & internet shopping in general).
ReplyDeleteHave you checked out madeit.com.au? Much the same premise as Etsy but all Australian :)
Tash, madeit.com.au is another of my favourite online shopping sites :) I've bought some delightful little things from there. I didn't realise you had a shop on madeit though, I adore your little kids belts!
