Something lovely to do together

Last night as I was browsing through blogland, I came across a lovely blog called With my own two hands and a post about paying it forward. What a wonderful idea! I was lucky to be among the first to sign up, and am very excited about playing along.

So here goes:

I promise something handmade to the FIRST 5 people who leave a comment here. However, to be eligible, you must repost this message, offering something handmade to 5 other people. The rules are that it must be handmade by you, and it must be sent to your 5 giftees sometime in 2011. Ready, set, GO!

Now I'm not one of the most crafty people in blogland (nor do I even come close, ha ha) but I do promise your gift will be made with love and something I am proud to pay forward. Once you are one of the first five to comment, please repost this on your own blog and send me the link. And don't forget to email me with your postal details.

Who will be receiving a lovely gift from A Country Wife? I can't wait to see xx

  1. Yay I'm on the list!

What a beautiful thought and how exciting to anticipate receiving something handmade in the mail.

I'll be sure to repost but first I need to think what will I make?

  2. Hi! I just discovered your cute blog, and I hope to be among the first five to comment this meassage :) Blogland is quite new to me, although I started my own blog in oct 2010. I havn´t told many people about it, and I have never left a comment before, so therefore my blog is still unknown to the world.. :) I try to make more time for crafts and hobbies in my busy life, so this is the perfect start of 2011 for me. I think it´s the sweetest idea, and I would love to be part of it!

    Best regards,
    Kamilla

  4. Chrissy this is such a great idea. I love the idea of paying it forward and spreading the love.
Ignore my comment as not one of the first 5 as I don't think I will be able to participate especially seeing as I still haven't managed to send out my Christmas cards lol

  5. Hi CHrissy, what a great idea - I'm in! (Oh, and how did I never come across YOUR blog before?).

  6. Yaay, thanks for signing up Melissa! And Leesa, ha ha, I know just how you feel, I still have a couple of thank you cards for Mathilda still waiting to be sent. Perhaps I should have resolved to be more organised this year.

Well there's two more spots left, and I realise that a lot of my followers don't have blogs. So if you'd like to join in you are welcome to repost via facebook xx
