Today I am grateful for... watching the sun rise

Most people hate winter because it's cold and often inclement, but that's exactly why I love it. I love to rug up in front of the fire and eat lots of yummy comfort food. I love that when I get up in the morning, my view is of fog rolling across the paddocks and a winter sun rising. I love getting dressed in soft wool jumpers and oversized coats. Most of all, I love snuggling under the doona with my warm as toast little man and giving him eskimo and butterfly kisses.

This morning, I love that we got a little visit from our neighbours, and despite the freezing cold underfoot I creeped out to say hello.

I hope you too are having a day to be grateful for. I am playing along with Maxabella Loves, come along and join in the fun!

  2. gorgeous photo. Cold weather is great, as long as you don't have to do anything, if you can run at your own pace, perfect, but when you're trying to achieve stuff, sometimes it's way too brrrrr, for me.

  3. I'm so glad you like winter too, people always think I'm crazy for liking winter but I do, for all the reasons you mentioned above and a few extra! Enjoy your winters day!

  4. cool photo - i love sun rise shots. This is my first visit to your blog and I think we have a few things in common. I am in south west WA AND I have an Oscar AND i was once a crusading environmentalist. Still an environmentalist but not so much a crusader these days. Nice to have found you. Will be back to follow later, for some reason blogger will not let me follow anybody today. Gill xo

  5. Gorgeous sunrise! I love winter as well - the air is so nice and crisp, seeing the shimmer of frost on the ground (no-so loving it on the car), being able to rug up and venture out or stay indoors if we want. Today we went to the snow with the kids - only possibly in winter! :)
